Early Life and Education
Frank Geraci, born and brought up in 1951 in Rochester, New York. In 1973, he graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Arts degree. In 1977, he received his Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton Law School.

Professional Career
After receiving a Juris Doctor degree, he worked as a Special Assistant District Attorney at the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office for five years. In 1983, he worked as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Western District of New York. In 1999, he served as a judge on the Monroe County Court in Rochester, New York.
Federal judicial service
President Barack Obama nominated Gerachi to be a United States District Judge for the Western District of New York on May 14, 2012.
Frank Geraci received Substantial Majority Well Qualified and Minority Qualified for the nomination by the American Bar Associations. He received his commission on January 2, 2013. Since 2015, he has served as the district court’s chief judge.
